266 officials appointed under 45th BCS

The government has appointed 266 officials as assistant commissioners in the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Administration Cadre through the 45th BCS, according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration.

The officials have been placed under divisional commissioners for posting as probationary assistant commissioners.

The notification said the appointments were made on October 14 following recommendations from the Bangladesh Public Service Commission. The officials were instructed to join their respective divisional commissioners by November 1.

The newly appointed assistant commissioners have also been vested with the powers of executive magistrates.
