Ferdous Wahid, Manik’s new song ‘Surjobar’ released

Ferdous Wahid and Amirul Momenin Manik’s new song titled ‘Surjobar’ has been released. The song has already been released on the YouTube channel titled ‘Manik Music’.

The lyrics of this song, which is a hope against despair, crisis and broken dreams, have been written by the life-oriented singer Amirul Momenin Manik.

The music has been composed by Pijit Mahajan. Autumnal Moon was the music arranger.

Regarding the song, pop star Ferdous Wahid said, “Our lives are constantly filled with broken dreams and betrayals. We are getting frustrated for various reasons.

Against this frustration and darkness, we have sung the song titled ‘Surjobar’ to instill hope in people’s hearts.

The lyrics of the song are as good as the melody. In a word, it is extraordinary. After a long time, I have given my voice to such a realistic song. Through my belief, Bengali songs will take a step forward in favour of positive change.”

Ferdous Wahid gained popularity with pop music in the eighties. At that time, his songs titled ‘Emon Ekta Maa Dena’, ‘Mamuniya’, ‘Agey Jodi Jantam’ gained immense popularity.

After that, Ferdous Wahid did not have to look back. Later, his son Habib Wahid also created a new trend in the history of Bengali songs in terms of music arrangement and lyrics.

In 2005, Amirul Momenin Manik came into wide discussion with the song titled ‘Maa Je Dosh Mash Dosh Din’. Later, his songs titled ‘Aay Bhor’, ‘Neel Porokiya’, ‘Sokal Hobe Ki’ sung with renowned singer Nachiketa Chakraborty became popular.

As a writer, his book ‘A Few Stupid Teachers of the University’ became a bestseller at the Bangla Academy’s Ekushey Book Fair in 2012. In journalism, Manik received the prestigious ‘UNESCO Club Journalism Award’ in 2011.

He founded ‘Changetv. press’ with the idea of YouTube journalism. Currently, Manik is working as the Director of Information and Public Relations of Hamdard Bangladesh.
