Security tightened at 414 puja mandaps

Kishoreganj Distirct Police has chalked out a plan for special security during the Durga Puja in 13 upazilas and 8 municipalities of Kishoreganj.

The biggest religious festival in the country ‘s Hindu Community.
Police and agencies arranged a special law and order conference ahead of the Durga Puja at Police Office conference room recently.

Police Super (SP) of Kishoreganj, Md. Mizanur Rahman presided over the meeting.

Kishoreganj SP Md. Mizanur Rahman shelly told the New Nation that, foolproof security has been been taken in the district town and 13 upazilas centering the Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival of the country’s Hindu Community”.

SP Mizanur Rahman also urged the Puja arrangement committee leaders to install close circuit cameras and metal detectors in the mandaps.

To avoid any unwanted incidents, administration will deploy additional police, SRB forces on this day.
Police ‘s cybercrime monitoring cell will remain active round the clock to prevent attempts to disrupt communal harmony though rumours, misleading information or provocative posts on social media.

People have been advised to contract the national emergency service 999 or the police control room in case of emergency.

Leaders of Puja Udjapan committee requested the centering to minimise load shedding and take effective traffic management measures, particularly in Kishoreganj town during the festival, SP added.
