Ansar-VDP Development Bank officers receive special training

Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force Director General and Ansar-VDP Development Bank Board Chairman Major General Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmood conducted a special class for 25 newly joined senior officers of the bank on Wednesday.

The 90-minute session began at 11:30am at the Ops Conference Room of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force headquarters in Khilgaon, Dhaka, and ended at 1pm.

The special class was part of the ongoing basic training course for the newly recruited senior officers of Ansar-VDP Development Bank.

Major General Sazzad Mahmood provided guidance on keeping the rural economy active, improving the quality of banking services and taking modern, technology-driven banking services to people at the grassroots.

He urged the officers to perform their duties with honesty, dedication, sincerity and professionalism to ensure financial security and self-reliance for members of the Ansar and VDP.

The bank chairman discussed timely loan disbursement for rural and small enterprises, efficient loan recovery and expanding the reach of banking services at the grassroots.

He also discussed ways to provide banking support to involve members of the Sanjiban Platoon in self-employment and entrepreneurial activities.

At the end of the session, Major General Sazzad Mahmood answered questions from the trainee officers.

He urged them to apply the knowledge and skills gained through the training in their future careers and play an effective role in improving the quality of banking services and expanding financial services at the grassroots.

The special training session was organised with the aim of developing skilled, honest and people-friendly bankers who can deliver modern banking services more effectively to people at the grassroots.
