Prime Bank deals with CRP to support prosthetic services

Prime Bank PLC has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP) to support Prosthetic & Orthotics (P&O) services for poor and marginalized persons with disabilities across Bangladesh.
The agreement was signed recently at Prime Bank’s Head Office in Dhaka. Md. Ziaur Rahman, Additional Managing Director & Chief Risk Officer of Prime Bank PLC and Valerie A. Taylor, Founder of CRP Bangladesh signed in the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations.
Under the partnership, Prime Bank will provide funding through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme to support the provision of prosthetic and orthotic devices, rehabilitation services and other essential care for persons with disabilities from disadvantaged communities.
The support will also cover multidisciplinary rehabilitation services, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and mental health care.
The initiative will be implemented over a period of one year, with CRP responsible for delivering the services in accordance with established professional and medical standards.
Prime Bank will monitor the programme through structured reporting, periodic reviews and impact assessment to ensure that the support reaches the intended beneficiaries and contributes to meaningful improvements in their quality of life.
Speaking on the occasion, Md. Ziaur Rahman, Additional Managing Director & Chief Risk Officer of Prime Bank PLC. said, “For us, this initiative is about more than financial support- it is about restoring dignity, independence and hope to individuals living with disabilities.
By directing our CSR resources to this cause, we reaffirm our belief that true progress must be measured not only by economic growth, but also by the empowerment of people and the creation of a more inclusive society.”
