Southeast Bank launches TeleCash

Southeast Bank PLC Founder and Chairman M. A. Kashem cuts a ceremonial ribbon alongside TeleCash Limited Chairman Nasir Uddin Ahmed, Southeast Bank Managing Director & CEO Md. Khalid Mahmud Khan, TeleCash Acting Managing Director A.K.M. Monirul Islam, and members of the Board of Directors to officially inaugurate the commercial operations of TeleCash Limited at the bank's Head Office in Dhaka on Tuesday.

TeleCash Limited, a Mobile Financial Services (MFS) provider and subsidiary of Southeast Bank PLC, has officially launched its commercial operations to accelerate financial inclusion and advance digital payments across Bangladesh.

The company received final regulatory approval from Bangladesh Bank on September 24, 2026, to commence commercial services.

The formal launch was celebrated at an inauguration ceremony at Southeast Bank’s Head Office in Dhaka on Tuesday.

Speaking as chief guest, Southeast Bank PLC Founder and Chairman M. A. Kashem described the launch as a landmark step toward strengthening financial inclusion, reaffirming the parent bank’s commitment to delivering secure, innovative MFS solutions.

TeleCash Limited Chairman Nasir Uddin Ahmed stated that the platform will leverage Southeast Bank’s institutional legacy to construct a secure, customer-centric digital ecosystem that supports sustainable economic growth.

Outlining the firm’s strategic objectives, TeleCash Limited Acting Managing Director A.K.M. Monirul Islam emphasized that the company aims to establish a trusted MFS platform built on technological excellence, risk-conscious operations, and sound corporate governance.

Guided by its motto, “Secure Transactions, Instantly,” TeleCash plans to focus heavily on making Bangla QR-based digital transactions more accessible and affordable for customers nationwide.

Southeast Bank PLC Managing Director and CEO Md. Khalid Mahmud Khan also expressed optimism about expanding the bank’s digital footprint through TeleCash’s new operational framework.
