Munshiganj diagnostic centers fined for irregularities

A mobile court, in a drive, fined Islami General Hospital and Diagnostic Center and Yasmin Diagnostic Center a total of Taka 130,000 for various irregularities in Louhajang upazila of the district on Saturday.

The upazila administration and the health department conducted the mobile court operation at Malir Anka Bazar and Hat Bhogdia areas of the upazila.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Farzana Bobby Mitu led the driver while Civil Surgeon Dr. Sajeda Begum was present.

Islami General Hospital and Diagnostic Center was fined Taka 100,000 for maintaining an unhygienic environment, failing to renew its certificate, irregularities in the X-ray room, and not having the necessary medicines in the operation theatre. The X-ray unit and operation theatre of the facility were also sealed off.

Meanwhile, Yasmin Diagnostic Center was fined Taka 30,000 for maintaining an unhygienic environment and conducting activities in violation of regulations.
