BD suffer another defeat

Bangladesh men’s hockey team suffered their second consecutive defeat in the 20th Asian Games hockey losing to host Japan by 6-1 goals in their second group A encounter was held on Tuesday at Gifu Prefectural Green Stadium in Kakamigahara, Japan.

Japan dominated throughout the proceeding giving no room to Bangladesh and notched the victory. Khaled Rakin scored the only goal for Bangladesh in the 44th minute.

Earlier, Bangladesh began their Asian Games campaign losing to South Korea by 5-0 goals in their opening group match.

Bangladesh will play their remaining group matches against Sri Lanka, Indonesia and India on Sept 24, 26 and 28 respectively at the same venue.
