Alimul appointed new passport chief

Major General Md Alimul Amin has been appointed as the new Director General of the Department of Immigration and Passports.

At the same time, the department’s current Director General, Major General Md Nurul Anwar, has been returned to the Army.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard on Monday, September 21.
The notification, signed by Deputy Secretary Mohammad Nur-E-Alam of the Deputation-1 Branch, said the named officers of the Bangladesh Armed Forces had been appointed on deputation to the posts mentioned in the order or returned to their respective ministries and divisions.

The order, issued in the public interest, will take effect immediately, according to the notification.
