Bangladesh are in Group-A
Bangladesh Football team are in Group-A of South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Championship.
The other teams of Group-A are Bhutan and Sri Lanka. Nepal have been banned by FIFA, the highest governing body of world football. If FIFA lifts the ban, Nepal will be also in Group-A. In that case, the schedule will be changed.
The South Asian Football Federation has announced the schedule of SAFF Championship on Tuesday. Hosts Bangladesh will take on Bhutan in their first Group-A match at the National Stadium in the capital on November 5.
Bangladesh will face Sri Lanka in their second Group-A match at the same venue on November 11. All the matches will be held at the National Stadium. The matches will kick-off at 8:00pm.
India, Maldives and Pakistan are in Group-B. Bangladesh are going to host SAFF Championship after eight years.
Bangladesh emerged as the champions in the SAFF Championship in 2003. Bangladesh were the hosts of SAFF Championship 2003.
Pakistan will face off India in the first Group-B match on November 5 at 3.30pm. Maldives will meet Pakistan in their Group-B match on November 8 at 3.30pm.
Sri Lanka will play against Bhutan in their Group-A match on November 8 at 8:00pm.
India will take on Maldives in their last Group-B match on November 11 at 3:30pm.
Top two teams of each group will play in the semi-finals on November 14. The winners of the semi-finals will face each other in the final on November 17. The winning team of the final will be the champions of the SAFF Championship 2026.
