Seminar on Prophet Muhammad’s Life and Teachings Held in Capital

A special seminar titled “The Life and Teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)” was held in the capital on Saturday to mark the holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi (PBUH), the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

The seminar was organized by Ashiq-e-Rasul General Officials’ Organization (ARGOO) at the Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB) auditorium.

Speakers at the seminar condemned attempts to obstruct the observance of Eid-e-Miladunnabi and called upon the government to ensure that devotees can celebrate the occasion peacefully and without hindrance. They described the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as a day of immense joy for the entire creation.

Imam Professor Dr. Qudrat A Khoda, a prominent leader of Muhammadi Islam, attended the programme as the chief guest.

In his speech, Professor Qudrat A Khoda stressed the importance of deep love for Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), following his life and teachings, spiritual purification and developing good character.

“Religious teachings attain their true fulfillment in human life when they are reflected in a person’s heart, character and conduct,” he said.

He also highlighted the contribution of Syed Mahbub-e-Khoda Dewanbagi Huzur to the observance of Eid-e-Miladunnabi in Bangladesh. According to him, historical documents presented by Dewanbagi Huzur established that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) passed away on 1 Rabi’ al-Awwal and was born on 12 Rabi’ al-Awwal.

Professor Qudrat A Khoda further said that Sirat-un-Nabi programmes were previously observed in Bangladesh, while Eid-e-Miladunnabi later began to be observed at the state level following Dewanbagi Huzur’s continued efforts. He said devotees of the Prophet would remember his contribution with gratitude.
