Southeast Bank holds regional confce for Ctg

The priorities were outlined at the bank’s Regional Conference for the Chattogram Region, held at the conference room of its Agrabad Branch recently, according to a press release.

The conference sought to align the region’s strategic business objectives, address operational challenges and formulate a future-oriented roadmap for sustainable business growth.

Southeast Bank Managing Director and CEO Md Khalid Mahmood Khan attended the conference alongside the bank’s additional managing directors, deputy managing director, Regional Head of Chattogram, senior executives, branch managers and other officials from the region.

Participants reviewed the bank’s business performance and operational activities through June 2026 against its approved budget.

The discussions covered budget achievement, the status of non-performing loan (NPL) recovery, recovery strategies and plans, branch-level targets and opportunities to expand the retail banking business.

Particular emphasis was placed on expanding the bank’s home loan, personal loan and credit card portfolios.

NPL recovery was identified as a top priority. Branch managers were advised to prepare realistic loan recovery plans, strengthen engagement with borrowers and take timely legal action when necessary.

In his closing remarks, Md Khalid Mahmood Khan urged branch managers to ensure a compliance-based banking environment by properly following regulatory guidelines.

He also asked them to improve the quality of customer service and identify new and promising customer segments to expand the bank’s retail banking business.

Highlighting Southeast Bank’s long-term strategies and plans, he said the bank was focusing on targeted business initiatives, reducing NPLs, strengthening loan recovery, expanding its retail banking footprint and increasing its base of stable, low-cost deposits.

He called on officials to work collectively with sincerity, innovative thinking, professionalism and accountability to achieve the bank’s strategic objectives and business goals.

Md Khalid Mahmood Khan concluded the regional conference by wishing the bank continued growth and success.
