BD U-23 thrash Malaysia in 1st one-dayer

Bangladesh Under-23 Cricket team’s Captain Kalam Siddiqui won the toss and elected to bat at the Bashundhara Sports Complex in Dhaka on Wednesday. Bangladesh Under-23 Cricket team posted a massive 153-run victory over Malaysia National Cricket team in the 1st one-dayer.
The team started as badly. They lost 3 wickets after scoring 11 runs. Mohammad Abdullah and Ahrar Amin contributed greatly to the team reaching 290 runs from there.
Although Captain Kalam Siddiki made 34 and Shahriar Shakib scored 21, which managed to overcome the initial shock, Bangladesh Under-23 Cricket team lost 5 wickets for 100 runs.
From there, Abdullah and Ahrar Amin put on a 103-run partnership for the sixth wicket. Ahrar returned to the pavilion scoring 61 runs off 62 balls with 5 sixes. Bangladesh Under-23 Cricket team’s score was 203/6.
From there, the Bangladesh Under-23 Cricket team added 87 runs in the last 11 overs. Wicketkeeper-batter Abdullah was dismissed for 94 runs off 100 balls, raising the possibility of a century. His innings was studded with 7 fours and 4 sixes.

The target was 291 runs. Malaysia National Cricket team lost the eighth wicket in the 28th over. But Bangladesh U-23 Cricket team had to wait for another 13 overs to get those two.
Malaysia’s number 8 batter Ahmad Zubaidi delayed the Bangladesh Under-23 Cricket team. In the end, both of them returned in two consecutive overs and off-spinner Sheikh Parvez Hossain powered Bangladesh Under-23 Cricket team for the victory by bowling Malaysia out for 137 runs in the first one-day match.
Parvez’s bowling figure was shining at that time. He completed his superb spell as 7.5-1-16-5. Parvez was adjudged the Player of the Match for his all-round performance.
