Pistol, 6 bullets recovered from Khilgaon

Police have recovered a pistol and six rounds of bullets from a garbage dump in the capital’s South Khilgaon area early Sunday.

No one has been arrested in connection with the recovery.

Acting on a tip-off, a team from Shahjahanpur Police Station conducted a drive at a garbage dump in Bagicha Jhilpara around 12:35am and recovered the firearm and ammunition, said Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Niaz Mehedi.

Legal proceedings are underway in this regard, he said.
