Maria Nur is back on screen

Popular presenter Maria Nur has returned to Bangladesh after living in the US for almost two years. She wants to spend time with her family.

The popular presenter, who was once known as ‘Cricket means Maria Nur’, has now participated as a guest on the ‘Behind the Fame with RRK’ podcast.

Maria Nur started her career 17 years ago as an RJ for a private radio channel. At that time, her salary was Tk5,000 per month.

As a child, she used to participate in Bangladesh Television and Betar and received a salary of Tk120 to Tk150.

After gaining immense popularity in modeling, she was praised for her performance in Mostafa Sarwar Farooki’s web series ‘Ladies and Gentlemen’.

Maria Nur received offers to act in legendary director Mrinal Sen’s biopic and Anjan Dutt’s film from West Bengal.

However, she was later not offered to act in any other film for a specific reason. She candidly revealed that reason in the podcast.

Hosted by Rumman Rashid Khan, the programme will be aired on Maasranga Television on August 8 at 9:00pm.
