BNP leader or activist involved with drugs will also be arrested: Aman

Aman Ullah Aman, Member of Parliament for the Dhaka-2 constituency and former DUCSU Vice President, stated that any BNP leader or activist found to be involved with drugs would also be arrested.

He made these remarks while speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony for the construction of a roadside drain in the Purbohati area of Tetuljhora Union, Savar, on Wednesday afternoon.

He issued a stern warning regarding the drug menace and directed law enforcement agencies to take immediate action against it. He assured those present that prompt measures—such as rapid drain construction and water drainage—were being taken in areas suffering from waterlogging due to obstructed flow. He further emphasized that simply becoming an MP did not make him above the task; stating that if necessary, he would personally oversee these responsibilities alongside local administrators, even in the absence of local chairmen or members.

Referring to the Prime Minister’s directives regarding humanitarian activities, he stated that the BNP is a government dedicated to serving the people. He also pledged to work for the public, serving them with the dedication of a grassroots activist.

Among others present on the occasion were former Savar Upazila BNP President Jamal Uddin Sarkar, Jubo Dal leader Shaon Sarkar, and various other leaders and activists.
