Paramount+ brings back Alicia Silverstone in ‘Clueless’ sequel series

Nearly three decades after ‘Clueless’ became a cult classic, Alicia Silverstone
is set to reprise her iconic role as Cher Horowitz in a sequel series ordered by Paramount+.

The project, which was initially in development at Peacock in early 2025, has officially found a new home after the streaming service dropped it earlier this year.

Paramount+ has given the series a six-episode order, with production expected to begin in Los Angeles in 2027. Set in present day, the sequel follows Cher as she navigates a new stage of life.
