KMP gets new Commissioner

Md. Sajjadur Rahman (DIG) was appointed as the new Police Commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP).

The Ministry of Home Affairs issued a notification in this regard on Wednesday by order of the President.
The notification was signed by Deputy Secretary Tofael Ahmed of the Public Security Division (Police-1 Branch).

According to the notification, Md. Sajjadur Rahman, a BCS (Police) cadre officer serving as DIG of the Armed Police Battalion (APBn), has been transferred and posted as the KMP Police Commissioner.

The order was issued in the public interest and will take effect immediately, the notification added.

Earlier on July 21, former KMP Commissioner Mohammad Zahidul Hasan was transferred as the DIG of Mymensingh Range. Md. Sajjadur Rahman replaces him in the position.
