I am proud to be able to live, sing in Bangladesh: Runa Laila

After a career spanning more than six decades, Runa Laila finally performed
a solo concert at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy recently. She was also given
a special honour during the concert.

The audience was impressed by the way she sang even at the age of 74. Therefore, the artiste expressed her gratitude to her fans.

In a video message on Tuesday, Runa Laila said, “Thank you all so much for showing me so much love. I am truly honoured.

I am proud to be in Bangladesh, to sing in Bangladesh; not only in Bangladesh, but also in India and Pakistan. Many people are my fans, and I have come this far with their prayers and love.”
