Idhika joins Srijit’s new detective film

Actress Idhika Paul is set to take on another new role as she joins acclaimed Indian filmmaker Srijit Mukherji’s upcoming detective film, based on fictional sleuth Kanaicharan, created by author Rajarshi Das Bhowmik.

Srijit has read the entire Kanaicharan series before selecting ‘Kalapanir Disha’ as the basis for the film.

However, the director has not confirmed whether the adaptation will retain the story’s title.

Srijit has confirmed that Jisshu Sengupta will play the titular detective, while also announcing Idhika’s casting. However, he has not disclosed details about her character.
