Thai trade exhibition to open in Dhaka on Thursday
A three day Thai trade exhibition aimed at boosting bilateral trade and business ties between Bangladesh and Thailand will begin in Dhaka on Thursday, bringing together leading Thai companies, Bangladeshi importers and business representatives.
The 21st edition of Top Thai Brands 2026, organised by the Office of Commercial Affairs of the Royal Thai Embassy, will be held from 23 to 25 July at the Grand Ballroom of Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel. The exhibition will remain open to visitors every day from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.
The announcement was made by Anusorn Kautipvittaya, Minister Counsellor (Commercial) at the Office of Commercial Affairs of the Royal Thai Embassy, during a press conference at a hotel in Dhaka on Monday.
Commerce Minister Khandakar Abdul Muktadir is scheduled to inaugurate the exhibition as the chief guest at 1:00 pm on Thursday.
Addressing the press conference, Anusorn said trade fairs play an important role in strengthening relations between friendly nations.
“Thailand and Bangladesh, two friendly nations, have explored their trade enhancement through trade fairs and improved their bilateral business landscape over recent years,” he said.
This year’s exhibition will feature 57 exhibitors, including prominent Thai companies and their Bangladeshi importers and agents. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of premium products covering food and beverages, hospitals, healthcare and wellness, fashion, beauty and cosmetics, building materials, chemicals and lubricants, stationery, and baby and children’s care products.
A key attraction of the event will be the Business Matchmaking Sessions, where Thai companies will meet Bangladeshi importers, distributors, business owners and prospective partners. The organisers said the sessions are intended to facilitate direct business discussions and promote long term commercial partnerships between the two countries.
In addition to the trade exhibition, the three day event will feature a range of cultural and entertainment programmes, including traditional Thai dance performances, Muay Thai demonstrations, fashion shows, raffle draws and other interactive activities.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy authentic Thai cuisine at a Thai Food Festival hosted daily by the Pan Pacific Sonargaon, complementing the trade showcase with a taste of Thailand’s culinary heritage.
