2nd death anniv of Dr. Shafiul Alam observed

The second death anniversary of Lt. Col. Professor Dr. Shafiul Alam was observed in the organisation of Talgachi Shafiul Alam Model Academy of Shahzadpur upazila of Sirajganj on Sunday.

A discussion meeting and Milad Mahfil were arranged in observance of the death anniversary of Shafiul Alam.

Alhaj Mohammad Rafiqul Alam, was a brave freedom fighter Abdur Rashid, Ashraful Islam Lovelu and others gave a commemorative speech at the event.

It should be noted that in 1951, Lt. Col. Professor Alhaj Dr. Shafiul Alam was born in a noble Muslim family of Talgachi.

He passed SSC from Shahzadpur Pilot High School in 1968. Later he passed HSC from Rajshahi New Government Degree College and MBBS from Rangpur Medical College with merit.

After that, he joined the Bangladesh Army as a lieutenant in the medical corps. He was promoted to the rank of Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology. He died on July 19, 2024, ending his illustrious career.
