Sumaiya Shimu returns to serials

There was a time when Sumaiya Shimu was a regular face in television dramas. She enjoyed remarkable popularity in both single-episode and serial dramas. However, she has remained largely inactive in acting for a long time due to personal reasons.

Shimu recently made her acting comeback through the “Besura” episode of Nuhash Humayun’s anthology series “Dui Shaw”. At that time, she said that she would definitely return to acting if she received projects she truly liked.

Now, Shimu is returning to television serials, and this time she will be working under the direction of MM Kamal Raz. She will play the character Rukaiya in the new serial drama “Fire Asar Golpo”.

On Thursday, production house Cinemawala Entertainment unveiled Sumaiya Shimu’s first look from Fire Asar Golpo. However, the actress is not willing to speak about the drama or her character just yet. Director Raz has also remained silent about the project.

Raz’s recent serial drama “Eta Amaderi Golpo” received immense popularity. Following its success, he is now making Fire Asar Golpo. Preparations for filming are currently underway, with shooting scheduled to begin next month. The director will introduce the rest of the cast one by one in the coming days.

It is worth mentioning that Sumaiya Shimu has starred in several popular television serials throughout her career, including “Housefull,” “FNF,””Lolita,” “Behind the Scene,” and “Fand O Bogar Golpo.”
