



BYD, the world’s leading New Energy Vehicle (NEV) manufacturer, celebrates a landmark achievement by marking the journey of over 1,000 NEV units on the roads of Bangladesh since its inception in the country with a grand event titled ‘Driven by 1000’. The event was held in recently at Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel, Dhaka. The celebration brought together company leadership, valued customers, dealer partners, industry stakeholders, influencers, and members of the media to celebrate the milestone and reaffirm BYD’s commitment to accelerating sustainable mobility in Bangladesh.
The event was graced by Ketsu Zhang, Deputy General Manager of BYD Asia-Pacific Auto Sales Division, and Hafizur Rahman Khan, Chairman of BYD Bangladesh, who was the Chief Guest. Other distinguished attendees were Amid Sakif Khan, Managing Director of BYD Bangladesh; Charles Ren, Country Manager of BYD Bangladesh; and Imtiaz Nawsher, Chief Marketing Officer of BYD Bangladesh.
Driven by its mission to decrease the Earth’s temperature by 1 degree Celsius, BYD has been leading the transition towards green mobility through innovative New Energy Vehicles across international markets. Guided by this vision, BYD officially entered Bangladesh on 03 March 2024 with the launch of its flagship electric sedan, the BYD Seal. Since then, the company has expanded its portfolio with multiple NEV models across different price segments, offering innovative technologies tailored to the diverse needs of Bangladeshi customers.
