Bangladesh received US$1.427 billion in workers’ remittances during the first 13 days of July 2026, marking a 19.5 percent increase compared to the US$1.194 billion received during the same period in July 2025.
According to the latest data, expatriate Bangladeshis sent $101 million in remittances on Monday alone.
The steady rise in remittance inflows reflects the continued contribution of overseas Bangladeshis to the country’s foreign exchange earnings during the opening month of the 2026-27 fiscal year.
In FY26, Bangladesh received a record $35.5 billion in remittances representing 17.3 per cent year-on-year growth.
However, despite setting a new record, the growth rate was lower than in FY25, when remittances increased by 25.5 per cent to $30.33 billion.
