



The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 377 people and filed 41 cases during regular anti-crime operations across the capital in the 24 hours until 6:00am on Tuesday.
Police said the drives were conducted in different areas of Dhaka, targeting criminal activities and illegal drug trade.
According to the DMP, the arrests were made by different units across the city.
The highest number of arrests was made by Mirpur Division, with 85 people detained, followed by Tejgaon Division with 64, Wari Division with 55, Uttara Division with 43, Ramna Division with 40, Gulshan Division with 32, Lalbagh Division with 26, Motijheel Division with 25, and the Detective Branch (DB) with seven arrests.
During the operations, police recovered 3,030 yaba tablets, 55.23 kilograms of cannabis and 1,200 bottles of Phensedyl.
Law enforcers also seized one private car, two microbuses, one lock-cutting machine, six mobile phones and Tk 330 in cash, while rescuing one victim during the drives.
DMP Additional Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations) Niaz Mehdi said the suspects were arrested from different police station areas across the capital.
He added that legal action had been initiated against the arrested individuals.
