Samanjar wins ‘Miss World Bangladesh’ crown

Samanjar Saeed has been crowned Miss World Bangladesh 2026. She was crowned at the grand finale ceremony held at Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden in the capital on Saturday evening.

Samanjar Saeed will represent Bangladesh in Vietnam at the 75th Miss World Festival to be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on August 9. The grand finale will be held on September 5.

Swagata Saha Oishi was the first runner-up in this year’s Miss World Bangladesh pageant, while Labiba Manzur was the second runner-up.

Azra Mahmood, founder of Azra Mahmood Talent Camp and National Director of ‘Miss World Bangladesh’, spoke at the programme, “The journey of Azra Mahmood Talent Camp began with the aim of empowering the youth through modelling and presenting. We have moved forward with time.

Already 10 batches of modelling have come out, from which many are now doing very well.”

The judges for this year’s competition were Miss Universe Bangladesh 2019 Shirin Akter Shila, Miss World Bangladesh 2019 Rafah Nanjeba Torsa, Prothom Alo’s ‘Haal Fashion’ consultant and heritage textile expert Sheikh Saifur Rahman, Daily Star’s ‘Star Lifestyle’ editor Mehrin Afroze Chowdhury, and Miss International Bangladesh 2024 Efa Tabassum.
