



Director General of the NGO Affairs Bureau, Dr. Mohammad Zakaria, visited Association for Community Development (ACD) in Rajshahi on Saturday to review the organization’s activities and held a views exchange meeting with its management and staff.
He was accompanied by some of his office colleagues. The meeting, chaired by Salima Sarwar, Executive Director of ACD, commenced with a multimedia presentation by Subrata Kumar Paul, Team Leader (Advocacy, Network and Lobby), reports BSS.
The presentation highlighted ACD’s institutional development, ongoing projects, key achievements, operational challenges, and future priorities.
It also showcased the organisation’s contributions to climate change adaptation, good governance and accountability, Right to Information (RTI), women and child protection, agriculture and livelihood development, social inclusion, and other development initiatives implemented with support from national and international development partners.
During the meeting, the NGO Affairs Bureau delegation expressed appreciation for ACD’s achievements and acknowledged the organization’s commitment to transparent and accountable project implementation.
The delegation emphasized the importance of effective organizational management, stronger coordination with government institutions, and the vital role of non-governmental organizations in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The event was attended by officials from ACD’s Finance and Human Resources departments, as well as representatives from various projects.
Following the discussion, the delegation reviewed administrative and financial records and visited different sections of the organization to observe ACD’s institutional systems and overall operations.
