Breastfeeding corners at key Ctg spots

Breastfeeding corners are being set up at important and crowded places in the city to ensure the comfort of mothers and safe, uninterrupted breastfeeding for children, said Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) Mayor Dr Shahadat Hossain.

He made the remarks while inaugurating two breastfeeding corners near the Karnaphuli Bridge and Chattogram Central Jail in the city on Sunday. The two corners were set up at the initiative of Dakbox Foundation in collaboration with the CCC. The main motto of the programme, implemented by the Dakbox Foundation, is “May Bangladesh Be Filled with Care.” The mayor said the Karnaphuli Bridge area and Chattogram Central Jail are historical and important places where many visitors come every day.

Many of them spend long periods there with their children.
