Standard Islami Bank launches Bangla QR service

Promoting cashless transactions, Standard Islami Bank PLC has launched the Bangla QR service of Bangladesh Bank in its mobile banking app ‘DigiBanking’.

Riad Mahmud Chowdhury, Managing Director of the Bank formally inaugurated the service as the Chief Guest at a ceremony held at the Bank’s head office on Wednesday.

Siddiqur Rahman, Additional Managing Director, along with senior executives and officials of the Bank also attended the program.

From now on, customers of Standard Islami Bank PLC will be able to make payments by scanning Bangla QR codes through the DigiBanking app.

Bangla QR is a timely initiative of Bangladesh Bank aimed at expanding a simple, secure and interoperable digital payment system in Bangladesh.
