Clooney to get ‘Golden Lion’ at Venice Film Fest

The 83rd Venice Film Festival will open on September 2. The 10-day festival will continue until September 12. And this year’s festival will award the ‘Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement’ to Hollywood’s most powerful actor George Clooney.

“George Clooney is a unique example of the glamour, extraordinary professionalism and modern sensibility of Hollywood stars of the past. With rare versatility, he has established himself in films of various genres; he has impressed in war films  like ‘Three Kings’, ‘Syriana’, thrillers like ‘Michael Clayton’ or comedies like ‘Ocean’s Eleven’,” the festival organisers said
in a statement.
