The once glamorous and extremely popular heroine of Bangladeshi cinema will not return to acting in films, everyone knows that.
Various news reports have been published in the media on this subject at different times.
But when this correspondent spoke to her about this yesterday, Popy made it clear that she would never act in a movie again.
However, a biopic will be made about her sometime in the next few years, only then she will act in it.
Apart from this, Popy is not interested in working in any other movies, dramas, or TV commercials.
Sadika Parvin Popy told this correspondent, “In the meantime, I have received offers from various sources to return to acting in films.
I’ve heard that many people want to make a movie about me. But I don’t want to act in films anymore for now.
I want to spend time with my husband and only child Aayat, I want to spend my life in a happy married life.
But if someone wants to make a biopic based on my biography perfectly, I will definitely act in it.
My upbringing from birth, my studies, my participation in photo beauty contests, my personal life, my struggling life, including my current life, someone who can beautifully portray my life, including various other details, in a wonderful story that suits my mood, I will act under his direction.
If I don’t like it, I don’t want to go back to acting. In other words, I don’t want to act in a way that would be a biopic of some kind, because I have many friends at home and abroad.
They have high expectations of me – I know that. At one time, Moushumi Apu and Shabnur were very powerful.
I too had gone through such a powerful time, a time when the full moon has also passed, and Purnima had also gone through such a time.
Our fans are still proud of us. So, if I act in a biopic, I would expect it to be exemplary biopic.”
Popy last acted in Sadeque Siddiqui’s ‘Direct Action’ movie. After that, she was not seen acting in any other movies.
Popy has been awarded the National Film Award three times for her acting in films.
She has also been awarded more than a hundred awards at different times from various organisations in the country.
