MetLife Bangladesh Settles Highest Claims in Q1 2026 Among All Life Insurers

MetLife Bangladesh has settled over BDT 669 crore in insurance claims during the first quarter (January to March) of 2026, the highest among all life insurance companies in Bangladesh for the period.

This achievement reinforces MetLife Bangladesh’s position as the country’s leading life insurer in claims settlement.

MetLife Bangladesh’s claims payments support customers during critical moments, including medical emergencies, loss of life, and policy maturity benefits.

Commenting on this, Chief Executive Officer of MetLife Bangladesh, Ala Ahmad, said, “Paying claims is the most important promise an insurance company makes. We are proud that MetLife Bangladesh continues to set the benchmark for claims settlement in the industry.”

According to data from the Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA), MetLife Bangladesh has consistently led the industry in claims settlement, including BDT 2,853 crore in 2025, the highest in Bangladesh. During this time, the company also maintained a claims settlement ratio of over 98%.

Customers of MetLife Bangladesh benefit from a seamless digital claims process that allows them to submit claims online and receive payments within 3 to 5 working days.

MetLife Bangladesh currently serves around 1 million individual customers and more than 900 corporate clients across the country.
