




Speakers at a workshop emphasised that sustainable agricultural practices are essential to address the challenges of climate change, shrinking agricultural land, and ensuring food security.
They noted that the project would play a significant role in increasing agricultural production and improving farmers’ livelihoods through the expansion of modern technologies, capacity building of farmers, and the promotion of environmentally friendly farming practices at an awareness workshop titled “2026” under the Sustainable Agricultural Development Project for the Bogura Agricultural Region was held on Sunday at the Rural Development Academy (RDA), Bogura.
The event was organized by the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) to discuss agricultural development, the use of modern technologies, and sustainable farming practices.
The Director General of the Department of Agricultural Extension, Md. Abdur Rahim, attended the workshop as the chief guest.
Special guests included Dr. Md. Abdul Majid Pramanik, Director General of the Rural Development Academy (RDA), Bogura, and Dr. Salma Laiju, Director of the Crops Wing of the Department of Agricultural Extension.
The project’s activities and objectives were presented by Project Director Md. Enamul Haque.
The workshop was chaired by Md. Abdul Wadud, Additional Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension, Bogura Region.
Officials from various levels of the Department of Agricultural Extension, agricultural experts, researchers, and other stakeholders participated in the workshop.
Participants were briefed on the project’s objectives, work plan, and implementation strategies, followed by an interactive discussion and exchange of views.
