There is no way for a country to thrive when people are unwilling to make compromises. Everyone wants everything, exactly as they desire.
I never saw this much frustration and dissatisfaction in my parents’ or grandparents’ generation. People back then, regardless of their differences, tried to live together in harmony.
They believed that this was the way to live well. How much do we, the people of today, think about others? We hardly do. We tend to believe that only our own survival and success matter. This dangerous selfishness prevents both people and the country from truly doing well. —
