Jubo Dal, JCD leaders killed in N’ganj

Two motorcycle riders, identified as local leaders of Jubo Dal and Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), were killed after being run over by a garbage truck of the Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) in Siddhirganj, Narayanganj on Tuesday evening.

The deceased were identified as 27-year-old Masum Billah and 26-year-old Abdul Qadir Jilani.
Police said the accident occurred around 6:15pm in the Jhutpatti area on the road from Jalkuri Bus Stand to Doshpipe in Ward No. 9 under Narayanganj City Corporation.

Masum Billah, son of Badsha Mia, hailed from Chandpura village under Dashmina upazila in Patuakhali and was involved in local Jubo Dal politics. Abdul Qadir Jilani, son of Nannu Sardar, was from Matlab North upazila in Chandpur and a former general secretary of Fatullah Union Chhatra Dal.

According to eyewitnesses, the NCC garbage truck hit the motorcycle, killing both riders on the spot. Police later recovered the bodies and sent them to Narayanganj General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Officer-in-Charge of Siddhirganj Police Station Mohammad Emdadul Haque confirmed the incident.
