‘Boipoka’ stands out among Eid releases with strong social message

Among the many dramas released during Eid-ul-Azha, ‘Boipoka’ has emerged as a standout success, earning praise from viewers for its heartfelt storytelling and social message.
The drama, based on a story concept by Akbor Haider Munna and written by Limon Ahmed, was directed by Topu Khan.
It stars Khairul Basar and Sadnima Binte Noman, whose on-screen chemistry has drawn particular appreciation from audiences.
Released on June 2 through the Club 11 Entertainment YouTube channel, the drama has attracted more than 900,000 views within four days.
Viewers have also flooded the comments section with praise for its story, direction and performances.
Unlike many of the trend-driven comedy productions released during Eid, ‘Boipoka’ centres on a romantic story set against a family backdrop while addressing contemporary social issues.
Director Topu Khan said the drama highlights the negative effects of social media addiction and encourages younger generations to reconnect with literature and reading.
Story creator Akbor Haider Munna said the project was inspired by growing concerns about the influence of social media on modern relationships.
Actor Khairul Basar described ‘Boipoka’ as a refreshing departure from conventional storytelling.
He said, “It is a unique drama with dialogues that touch the heart. I am grateful to Topu Bhai for creating a project like this.”
Co-star of Basar, Sadnima Binte Noman also expressed her enthusiasm for the drama, saying the experience of working on ‘Boipoka’ would remain memorable for a long time.
She said, “I fell in love with my character while working on ‘Boipoka’. It was a very special experience.”
The cast of the drama also includes Azizul Hakim, Munira Yusuf Memi, Abdullah Rana and Rosey Siddique. Veteran actor Tariq Anam Khan appears in a special role.
