BB, Islami Bank hold training for SME entrepreneurs
Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC’s Noakhali Zone launched a month-long Entrepreneurship Development Programme on Monday for promising SME entrepreneurs.
The programme is being organised under the Skills for “Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program” project of the Finance Division, Ministry of Finance, funded by the Asian Development Bank, and conducted under the supervision of the SME and Special Programs Department of Bangladesh Bank.
Md Mahbubur Rahman, Additional Director of Bangladesh Bank, attended the programme as the chief guest.
Abu Sayed Md Idris, Senior Executive Vice President and Head of SME Wing of Islami Bank, presided over the programme, while Mohd Anwar Hossain, Executive Vice President and Head of Noakhali Zone, delivered the welcome speech.
Mohammad Wasim, Deputy Program Director (SICIP) and Joint Director of Bangladesh Bank, presented an overview of the training programme.
The workshop will provide training to new entrepreneurs to enhance their essential skills in business operations, financial management, marketing, record-keeping, innovation and digital business management.
A total of 25 selected entrepreneurs from Noakhali, Feni and Lakshmipur districts participated in the training.
