‘I don’t see that happening with male actors’
Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu has opened up about discrimination and
mental pains in Bollywood.
In a recent interview, she candidly admitted about the struggles she faced in early days of her career.
Taapsee said that when she entered Bollywood, she was in her 20s. But it took her three to four long years to prove herself in the industry and get a chance to play important roles.
Reminiscing, Taapsee said, “Initially, I had to struggle so much that by the time I was able to establish a foothold in the industry, I was already past 30.
After that, when I would go for a role, some would say, ‘This role needs a younger girl.’ But I never see that happen with male actors.”
