Walton eyes export growth with 12th East Timor shipment
Walton has shipped its 12th consignment of televisions to East Timor, strengthening the Bangladeshi multinational brand’s export footprint in the Asian market.
According to a press release, the 12th shipment of Walton TVs to East Timor was inaugurated on 26 April.
A container vessel carrying Walton television products has already left Chattogram port for its destination.
Walton said it has been gaining buyers’ trust globally by offering high-quality products in both domestic and international markets, while expanding into new export destinations. Mohammad Yusuf Ali, Additional Managing Director of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC, said Walton’s “Made in Bangladesh” branded electronics and electrical appliances are now being exported to more than 55 countries across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe and America.
He said the export of televisions to East Timor marked an important milestone in expanding the presence of Bangladeshi products, including those made by Walton, in the East Timor market.
Walton TV Chief Business Officer Sourav Akter said the company maintains strict quality control in television production.
He said the export of TVs to East Timor had created opportunities for Walton to expand its business in other Asian countries.
Walton TVs, produced with European-standard designs and modern technology, have attracted buyers quickly, he said.
He added that Walton TV’s timely marketing strategy had played an important role in achieving the success.
“Global buyers’ confidence in Walton TVs is growing rapidly due to improved picture quality, high standards, affordable prices, European-standard design and modern features,” he said.
Currently, Europe is Walton Television’s largest export market.
Walton TVs are exported to more than a dozen European countries, including Germany, Greece, Ireland, Poland, Spain, Italy, Romania, Denmark and the Netherlands.
In these markets, Walton exports televisions both as an OEM supplier and under its own brand.
Around 95% of Walton’s total TV export earnings come from the European market, the company said.
Asia and Africa are also emerging as important markets for Walton TVs, with exports expanding steadily.
Walton TVs are currently being exported to East Timor, Sri Lanka, Somalia, Bhutan and Libya.
