Mystery, adventure & emotion define this year’s Eid movies
Eid always brings a wave of new films starring popular actors and actresses. This year, however, five actresses are drawing special attention.
They are Sabila Nur, Bidya Sinha Mim, Masuma Rahman Nabila, Nazifa Tushi, and Puja Chery.
Sabila Nur is now one of the busiest actresses on the big screen. Last Eid, she received praise for portraying the character ‘Chitra’ in the film ‘Bonolota Express’.
This Eid, she is appearing as the lead actress in the highly anticipated film ‘Rockstar’. Sabila said, “Having Shakib Khan in a film always creates excitement and brings something different.
And when it is a film like ‘Rockstar’, there is nothing more to say. I am truly delighted to be part of this special project.”
Bidya Sinha Mim is returning this Eid with the action-based film ‘Malik’, alongside Arifin Shuvoo.
She underwent extensive martial arts and action choreography training for the role.
Mim said, “The audience is used to seeing me in a certain way, but in ‘Malik’, they will see a completely different version of me. I had to work very hard for this character.
Along with physical preparation, I also had to transform myself mentally.” Through this film, Mim reunites with Shuvoo after four years.
Director Masud Hasan Ujjal has created ‘Bonolota Sen’ with a rural backdrop, literary storytelling, and emotional presentation.
In the film, Masuma Rahman Nabila portrays the mysterious woman from poet Jibanananda Das’s timeless poem. Nabila said, “There is a certain loneliness and beauty within this character.
Last Eid, NazifaTushi’s film ‘Pressure Cooker’ was released. This Eid-ul-Azha, she stars in director Mejbaur Rahman Sumon’s film ‘Roid’ as a mysterious woman.
To perfectly portray the character’s somewhat wild and unusual nature, she had to spend a long time in remote areas. Last Eid, Puja Chery gained attention with the film ‘Domm’.
This Eid, she is coming with a double surprise. On one hand, she stars in the spy thriller ‘Masud Rana’, and on the other, in the rural romantic drama ‘Nakfuler Kabya’— two films with completely different flavors.
