Army Chief leaves for Hajj

Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman has left for Saudi Arabia along with his wife to perform the holy Hajj.

In a statement issued on Friday evening, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed the visit.
The ISPR said the army chief is travelling to Saudi Arabia as a royal guest upon invitation from the Saudi government.

During the visit, he will perform Hajj rituals in Makkah and visit Madinah. He is scheduled to return to Bangladesh on June 1 after completing the pilgrimage.
