‘Paths will cross again, somewhere, sometime’
Outgoing Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Pranay Verma hosted a farewell reception at India House on Saturday for media friends, marking his departure from Dhaka. The event featured conversations, shared memories and music.
Verma, who has been appointed as India’s next Ambassador to Belgium and the European Union, said Bangladesh would remain one of his most cherished postings due to the warmth and friendship he received during his tenure.
He urged not to say goodbye, but “see you again,” adding that the memories from Bangladesh would stay with him. He also sang songs in Bangla and Hindi during the event and expressed hope that “our paths will cross again, somewhere, sometime.
Senior journalists and members of the Diplomatic Correspondents Association, Bangladesh attended the reception.
