May I die before my mother dies: Tasnia Farin
Popular small screen actress is Tasnia Farin. However, behind becoming today’s ‘Tasnia Farin’ lies the story of a woman’s long struggle and sacrifice – she is Farin’s mother.
At an event organised on the occasion of Mother’s Day, the actress became emotional while highlighting the unknown chapters of her life.
At the event, Farin said that her mother’s contribution is more important than her father’s behind her current position.
She said, “My mother fought with my father and got me admitted to a dance school.
People consider emotion as weakness. I’m usually very emotional, but I don’t want to show emotion.
But today I’m probably the youngest of everyone here. I never dreamed I’d achieve so much at this age. But my mother did.”
Farin also said, “My mother’s contribution is behind everything in my acting career or learning to sing. It’s not my father’s, it’s my mother’s contribution.
When there was any work in the middle of the exam, my mother would fight with my father.
She believed that your daughter would do well in everything else besides her studies.”
In her words, “My mother used to sit after my school holidays, take me to music classes at Nazrul Academy.
When rehearsals were going on, I would sit in my school uniform until 10:00pm, and my mother would bring food from home.”
Referring to her mother’s role at the beginning of her career, the actress said, “When the first job offer came, it was my mother who pushed me. She was the first to recognise the creativity within me.”
Farin said, “She (mother) was always by my side like a banyan tree, and she still is.
I want my mother to die before I die. Because I really can’t bear it, I don’t want to see it.”
