Bhabna’s new film based on urban stories

Ashna Habib Bhabna is a popular actress on both the small and big screens.

She has consistently captured the audience’s attention through her work in diverse and unique stories and characters.

This time, she will be seen in a new film titled “Dhaka 1205,” directed by Walid Ahmed.

The film is based on the realities of urban life, including dreams, struggles, love, and separation. Bhabna stars opposite Rakib Hossain in the film.

Produced under the banner of Sadamata Entertainment, the shooting took place in various locations across the capital, including Uttara, Old Dhaka, and Nawabganj.

The cast also includes Aymon Shimla, Mohaimin Islam Galpo, Dr. Afroza Momen, Subaita, Romel, Senjuti, Afif Khan, Rupom, and Zahidul Islam, among others.

A few days ago, after returning from the 48th Moscow Film Festival, Bhabna shared a post on social media simply captioned “Dhaka 1205.”

Along with the post, she shared a photo with director Walid Ahmed and co-actor Rakib Hossain, which sparked excitement among her fans about the new film.

According to the director, “Dhaka 1205” aims to portray the lesser-known realities of life in Dhaka through cinematic storytelling. The film will feature rap, romantic, and other unique songs.

The lyrics are written by Walid Ahmed and Rezaur Rahman Rizvi, while the background score is composed by Rubel Flyingkites.

Speaking about the film, director Walid Ahmed said, “The audience will witness the chemistry between Bhabna and Rakib throughout the film.

‘Dhaka 1205’ will offer a unique experience by blending the lives, emotions, relationships, and realities of people in this city.”

It is worth noting that Walid Ahmed’s previous films have received international acclaim.

He has won several awards, including the Raj Kapoor Award and the Global Independent Film Festival Award.

His last released film was “Megher Kopat” in 2023, and another film titled “Jibone Khela,” featuring Abdun Noor Shajal and Cindy Margaret G. Rolling, is currently awaiting release.
