Brishti’s body returned home from US

The body of Nahida Sultana Brishti, one of the two Bangladeshi PhD students killed in the United States, was brought back to Bangladesh on Saturday.

An Emirates flight carrying her remains landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at around 9:10am.
Her family members, including her parents, received the body at the airport.

Speaking to reporters there, Asad Alam Siam said the government is working to ensure a fair investigation and justice over the killings.

He added that Bangladeshi authorities are in regular contact with relevant US officials regarding the matter.
Earlier, on May 4, the body of Zamil Ahamed Limon, the other Bangladeshi student killed in the incident, was also brought home and later buried in his village home in Jamalpur.
