BAEC Officers Assoc gets new body

The Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (BAEC) Officers’ Association Election-2026 was held on Tuesday at the BAEC Headquarters in Dhaka in a festive atmosphere, with employees from the headquarters and various institutions under the commission across the country participating through voting.

In the election, the Mahbub-Kibria panel secured leadership positions for the next two-year term Golam Mahbub, Chief of the Administration Division at the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant Construction Project, was elected President, while ATM. Golam Kibria, Chief of the Administration Division at BAEC, Dhaka, was elected General Secretary.

From the same panel, Md. Mahmud Hossain was elected Senior Vice-President. Other elected office bearers include Masud Rana Mondol as Finance Secretary, Mohammad Samsuddoha as Joint Secretary, Mukti Markus Rana (Nasim) as Cultural and Sports Secretary, Maruf Hossain as Office Secretary, Md. Solaiman Mia as Information and Publication Secretary, and Md. Rohina Parveen as Women Affairs Secretary.

Executive members elected from the panel are Md. Habibur Rahman, Masud Al Arafat, Md. Abu Taher and Md. Altab Hossain.

From the independent candidates’ group, Md. Akibul Rahman Molla was elected Vice-President, while Saisat Ahmed was elected Executive Member.

Officials and employees of BAEC headquarters in Dhaka, along with personnel from various affiliated institutions across the country, cast their votes to elect their representatives for the next two years, marking the election process in a peaceful and enthusiastic environment.
