1st batch of Pakistan Cricket squad in city
The first batch of Pakistan Cricket squad landed at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital on Sunday.
Rest of the players of Pakistan Cricket squad will reach Dhaka after the final match of Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Pakistan Cricket team will play two Test matches against Bangladesh Cricket team.
The two Test matches are part of International Cricket Council (ICC) Test Championship.
Bangladesh Cricket team will take on Pakistan Cricket team in the first Test match, which will begin on May 8 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital’s Mirpur.
The Tigers will face off Pakistan Cricket team in the second Test, which will start on May 16 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
Earlier, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the 16-mamber Pakistan Test Cricket squad for the ensuing two Test matches against Bangladesh.
Shan Masood will lead Pakistan Cricket team for the upcoming two Test matches against the Tigers.
The four cricketers, who have been called up for the first time by the PCB are: Abdullah Fazal, Amad Butt, Azan Awais and Ghazi Ghori.
The Pakistan Cricket squad have been included by experienced Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Noman Ali, Sajid Khan and Salman Ali Agha.
Pakistan Test squad: Shan Masood (Captain), Abdullah Fazal, Amad Butt, Azan Awais, Babar Azam, Hasan Ali, Imam-ul-Haq, Khurram Shahzad, Mohammad Abbas, Mohammad Rizwan, Ghazi Ghori, Noman Ali, Sajid Khan, Salman Ali Agha, Saud Shakeel and Shaheen Shah Afridi.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) also announced the 15-member Bangladesh Test squad for the forthcoming two Test matches against Pakistan.
Bangladesh Test squad: Najmul Hossain Shanto (Captain), Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Shadman Islam, Mominul Haque, Mushfiqur Rahim, Litton Das, Mehidy Hasan Miraz (Vice-Captain), Taijul Islam, Nayeem Hasan, Ebadot Hossain, Shoriful Islam, Taskin Ahmed, Nahid Rana, Tanzid Hasan and Amite Hasan.
