Telefilm “Johra Begum’s ichchhapatra” in Eid

Every year during Eid, Arif Khan produces a drama or telefilm, often featuring a lineup of popular stars.

Last year, while he was working on a production, actor Afzal Hossain shared a wish with him.

He said, “You’ve made many dramas with me. See if it’s possible to do something with me and Ferdousi Mazumder. I really want to work with her.”

Director Arif Khan has now fulfilled that wish. For Eid-ul-Adha, he has made a telefilm titled “Johra Begum’s ichchhapatra.”

In it, Ferdousi Mazumder plays the character of Johra Begum, while Afzal Hossain appears as her eldest son.

Other cast members include Mamunur Rashid, Tauquir Ahmed, Dipa Khandakar, Rawnak Hasan, Naresh Bhuiyan, and Zakia Bari Mamo, among others. The telefilm is written by Tauquir Ahmed.

Shooting took place in Uttara and Gulshan, and it will be aired on Channel i during Eid-ul-Adha.

The story revolves around the values and real-life conflicts of an actress.

Through “Johra Begum’s ichchhapatra,” Ferdousi Mazumder returns to television acting after a long time.

Although her physical strength has declined due to age, her mental resilience remains strong, according to the director.

Arif Khan said, “Ferdousi Mazumder is acting on screen again after many years.

Even she couldn’t recall exactly when she last acted in a drama or telefilm.

Given her current physical condition, her participation is a great achievement for us. She attended the shoot regularly every day.”
