Call to refrain from excess CNG fares

Additional Police Commissioner of CMP AKM Shahidur Rahman called upon the CNG taxi drivers not to demand excess fare of CNG taxi from the passengers .
He made calls to the CNG taxi owners and drivers at a discussion meeting held at Chittagong Metropolitan Journalists Union(CMUJ) hall in city on Thursday as Chief Guest.
The meeting was arranged jointly by Chittagong Auto Rickshaw-Auto Tempo and Mohanagar Rickshaw Owners Parishad .
The chief guest in his brief deliberations said transport business is a service oriented business and CMP will always cooperate to them and asked them to behave nicely with the passengers.
The meeting decided to ply CNG taxis in short distance and not to demand excess fare during the holy month and will organize orientation meeting in every taxi stand in the city to aware the decision of the meeting. President of Parishad Kamaluddin presided over it. Road Transport Sramik Federation (East Zone) President Mrinal chowdhury, general secretary of regional committee of Ctg Md. Oli ahmed, President of Human Hauler Bus Minibuss Sramik Union Shah Alam Hawlader attended it as special guests. Leaders of different federating units of the SramikFederation(E) spoke on the occasion.
